Chronically Poetic

Poems always seemed to be my language. I consciously started writing poems when I was 12 years old. My initial attempts were dreadful, and they even were in rhymes! But quite soon I developed my own voice, that stayed with me into my now fifth decade on earth.

My poems are short and often raw. I often hear them in my head and simply write down what I hear. I once tried working with an editor, but my poems felt completely wrong. So I went on listening to my poetic voice.

I released my debut collection called “Geometry of Life” in 2021. However, due to my worsening ME/CFS, which I’ve had for about ten years, I didn’t have a chance to do anything with it. My poems are often about living with my chronic illnesses, as well as about life in general or small moments from my daily life.
